Section 377
Our series captures events organized by Queer Azaadi Mumbai as part of efforts to raise awareness on queer issues in protest against Section 377 during the Mumbai Pride week that was held in February 2014. It includes ‘Gulabi Mela’ – a fundraiser hosted by Yariaan group to showcase the various initiatives and talents by the LGBT community; ‘377 Flash Mob’ – a performance for raising awareness on queer issues organized by the Humsafar Trust (the largest and most active NGO which promotes LGBT rights.); ‘The Pride March’ – with more than 3500 people attending, it was the highest turnout since it started.
